1.Product Description

When the storage capacity is less than 12 meters, a cement cone bottom is generally used. This bottom is crafted into an inverted cone funnel with cement and steel bars, allowing for self-discharge of materials. For diameters exceeding 12 meters, due to the heightened cone bottom, it is typically preferable to utilize a half cone or flat bottom. The half cone doesn't allow full material discharge, whereas the flat bottom demands multiple discharges or the use of a spiral warehouse cleaning machine. Though the cement cone has a moderate cost, its construction cycle is slightly longer.

The hopper, rings, and support steel are meticulously crafted from hot-dip galvanized steel sheets. All TSE Grain Silos feature hot-dip galvanized hopper cones designed for grain storage, adhering to D-4097 or ASTM D-3299 standards for elevated cone heads. Depending on the stored grain products and conditions, hopper or cone angles are usually 45º and 60º. The hopper silo structure is determined by the type of stored products. Typically, free-flowing pellets like corn, wheat, soybeans, and feed pellets use a 45° hopper bottom, whereas powders or harder-to-flow materials fit 60° cone bottom silos.

Hopper bottom galvanized Grain Silos are extensively used for grain storage (sunflower seeds, soy, maize, sorghum, rice, industrial products, etc.) and feed pellets for animals, poultry, and fish requiring special storage conditions. They can also temporarily store wet grain as part of a drying plant and serve other buffer bin roles in silo plants.
